Studio Session 3 - 20th November

After reviewing the footage of our previous footage, we concluded that our footage was far too boring in general. Our plan of using various shot types to make it exciting enough, had failed. Looking into the work of Carol Vernallis, we decided that it would be a good idea to match colour switches with the song's beat. This would create an interesting and bold contrast that should be capable of retaining a viewer's interest.

We utilised the black cyclorama background for the studio and got Josh and Vivian into white costumes in order to achieve this bold colour contrast. Our only reference point for this deep colour contrast, was Hot Chip's "Ready For The Floor" music video. This meant that a lot of our shots would be taken off the back of our creative eye, rather than with deep references in mind.
