- Due to the mellow attitude expressed in the studio shots, the artists must have very aesthetically interesting make up and costumes. This is in place so that the audience doesn't get bored of the otherwise rather minimalist shots.
- The acting of the artists themselves must again play a central role in retaining the attention of the audience. The plan is to have them be absolutely enthralled with each other, treating each other like a work of art. The challenge is to capture this intense expressions without making it seem sexual.
- In order to not just simply hold the audience's attention but to also make it exciting, we will follow Carol Vanalys' theory. Essentially, this means cutting to the beat of the music and then switching it up by cutting and using shots unexpectedly so that there is never a clear pattern that the audience will eventually get bored of.
- In contrast, we were advised to make the narrative footage as dreamy as possible. Perhaps my playing around with the opacity, using fades instead of cuts and adjusting playback speed at times. All in an attempt to make a clear difference between studio and narrative shots and to make it obvious that the relationship portrayed in the narrative is a thing of the past.
