Promo Shots - Initial Ideas

One initial idea for promo shots is that we get some shots of a forest, some with the artists as the focal image, some with them just in the sidelines. This would connect to the name NTLS and put a twist on the usually very heavy urban imagery on artists from an urban setting. It also fits in with the niche group of artists who NTLS would belong to within the genre, much like FKA Twigs, SBTRKT and SZA.

We also toyed with the idea of utilising a still lake within our promo shots. We could possibly have the artists standing eerily in the lake or walking into it as if to fully submerge themselves.

Both of the previous ideas were thought up with inspiriration garnered from Pinterest pictures. Below are a few of the most significant inspirations.

It is also necessary to capture some more conventional promo shots in the studio. These could easily be done on the same days desdesignated filming and shouldn't take long whatsoever. Again, the artists will stood in very odd, fairly non-human ways in order to create a mysterious and unique atmosphere.
